QEP Team Heads to Corpus Christi for Annual Pathways Research Symposium

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) team will head to A&M-Corpus Christi for the 12th Annual Pathways Research Symposium October 22nd and 23rd. These students will proudly represent Texas A&M University-Commerce with a range of global research topics.

Rochana Kaushik, graduate student in the Department of Marketing and Business Analytics; and QEP Graduate Research Assistant, will present her research centered on the Investigation of Freshman Students’ Global Competence Aptitude Assessment in Relation to Preparedness for an Interconnected World.  This project has been completed under advisement of Dr. Shonda Gibson, Executive Director of Global Learning and QEP, and co-written by Dr. Tabetha Adkins, QEP Committee Chair, Associate Professor of Literature and Languages, and Director of First Year Writing.

Christopher Woodard, graduate student in the Department of Marketing and Business Analytics; and QEP Graduate Research Assistant, will present research on the Growing Importance of Using an Eportfolio for Personal and Professional Development.  This project has been completed under advisement of Dr. Shonda Gibson, and co-written by Dr. Tabetha Adkins.

Sam Ijeh, graduate student in the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Special Education; and QEP Intern, will present research related to the Impacts of Study Abroad Experiences on Students’ Levels of Global Competence.  This project has been completed under advisement of Dr. Shonda Gibson.

The QEP team is honored to be chosen to showcase their research endeavors at the Pathways Student Research Symposium.  The symposium is open to all system students and seeks to provide participants with a broader exposure to the Texas A&M University system. Participants will present a variety of research studies, while discussing their topics with peers, faculty, and judges.
