— A&M-Commerce Library Staffers Rehearse Summer Play


A&M-C STAFFERS IN PLAY — Craig Wheeler (left) and Karen Akins, both employed at Gee Library at Texas A&M University-Commerce, are shown in a scene from “Treasure Island,” the summer play on campus. Wheeler, as Long John Silver, stops Akins, the Beggar, from stealing Jim Hawkins’ bag on the dock. The action-packed 18th century adventure is being presented at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 3, and Saturday, July 5, in the Performing Arts Center. A special July 4 show is set at 6 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. July 6. For the second week of the run, shows will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, through Saturday, July 12, with a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. July 13.
