Graduate Education Program Ranked No. 9 for Career Support

Graduateprograms.com has ranked A&M-Commerce’s graduate program in education No. 9 on its list of “Top Education Programs for Career Support.” The rankings are based on student reviews and ratings posted on the Graduateprograms.com website between September 2012 and September 2013.

Using a 10 star system, students rated the education programs in 15 categories, including academic competitiveness, student diversity and financial aid. A&M-Commerce received an overall score of nine out of 10, with “grad program value” as the university’s highest score.

“This is a great campus that offers a lot of variety but on a small campus. You are able to receive the personal attention necessary for academic success,” said one student commenter. “The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. I would recommend this campus to anyone.”

Among the 25 schools ranked for their “Top Education Programs for Career Support” are Harvard University, No. 1; Stanford University, No. 4; and Johns Hopkins University, No. 23. Texas A&M University ranks No. 19.

“The College of Education and Human Services strives to maintain strong relationships with our community and the state. These relationships enable us to help our students make connections in the world of work and advance their careers,” said Dr. Gail Johnson, interim dean of the College of Education and Human Services. “We are proud of our students and the differences they make for those they serve.”

Graduateprograms.com compiled and analyzed over 40,000 ratings from students attending more than 1,200 graduate programs nationwide for the purpose of helping “prospective education grad students better evaluate their options for continuing education.”
